One Month Until Cheltenham 2024

We are now only four weeks away from the 2024 Cheltenham Festival - which is traditionally one of our most profitable weeks of the year. 

Although we didn't have a great Festival in 2022, when backing 11 seconds and suffering bad luck with fallers (Ginto and Langer Dan) costing us big paydays. A review of the week is here), we made over 100 pts profit collectively at the Festivals held between 2018-2021 and averaged 10 winners each Festival during that period. During the 2023 Festival we had 8 winners and made +20 pts profit - the highlight being Angels Dawn (10/1) in the Kim Muir.

We begin building our ante post book months before Festival week and I try and get a few nice bets lined up at prices heading into the week itself.

We have had some truly awesome days at past Festivals - we almost went through the card on the Tuesday in 2018 when Summerville Boy, Footpad, Coo Star Sivola, Benie Des Dieux, Rathvinden and Mister Whitaker all won for us that day. The only runner we didn't back that day was Buveur D'air in the Champion Hurdle as he was odds on and we'd missed the ante post value!

That wasn't a one off either and in 2021 we did the same on the Wednesday and had Bob Olinger, Monkfish, Heaven Help Us, Put The Kettle On, Sky Pirate and Sir Gerhard all winning (we had the short priced ones on side in multiples). The only winner we didn't have that day was Tiger Roll in the Cross Country (we were on Easysland, who was second). Heaven Help us won at 33/1 and Sky Pirate at 14/1, so you can imagine the enormous returns NMP members were collecting off multiples that day :-) Big days like that are what it is all about! All bets are fully proofed to the Smart Betting Club to verify they were genuinely advised!

We usually have a bet in most races at the Festival and like to have a mix of singles, multiples, bankers, outsiders and ante post value picks.
