End Of Season Sign Up Offer
4th June 2025
With the Derby meeting at Epsom this week and Royal Ascot also looming I am offering a sign-up promo for membership for the rest of the 2025 season.A one off payment of £85 covers all selections until the end of the NMP 2025 service (30th November 2025) and represents a notable saving on the price of signing up on a recurring monthly membership (which is £22.50 per month).
Let's hope for a repeat of last year's Royal Ascot, when, among our winners, we backed a winning 87/1 double on Wathnan Racing pair Leovanni and Shareholder (who we also backed singularly in the Queen Mary and Norfolk at 10/1 and 8/1, respectively). Remarkably, Leovanni was a huge drifter on the day and returned 22/1 at SP, so some NMP members actually achieved even greater returns than that in reality!
We also orchestrated a monster gamble on Dark Trooper in the Wokingham, backing him at 25/1 weeks before the race. He was smashed up and went off 4/1 (SP) on the day but he was unfortunately beaten by his draw and finished a close second to Unequal Love. James Doyle described him as "the one that got away" that week....and we were undoubtedly unlucky from landing a mega chop as we had him covered in multiples with our other Wathnan Racing winners that week....but hopefully we can gain compensation this year :-) ...........
+40 PT FESTIVAL? MORE LIKE +140 PT FESTIVAL!!!
15th March 2025
In my last news update I mentioned that in three of the past four Cheltenham Festivals we have won over +40 pts profit over the course of the week, and I asked whether we'd be on for another big week.
Forget making +40 pts, we just made over +140 pts during a magical week in which we backed the following winners:
- Kopek Des Bordes (5/6)
- Lossiemouth (10/11)
- Haiti Couleurs (4/1)
- Stumptown (4/1)
- Marine Nationale (7/1)
- Jazzy Matty (13/2)
- Air Of Entitlement (16/1)
- Fact To File (6/4)
- Doddiethegreat (25/1)
- Jagwar (5/1)
- Kargese (12/1)
- Dinoblue (6/4)
- Inothewayurthinking 13/2 (and 2/1 w/o the fav)
- Wodhooh (13/2)
The highlight of the week was our MAX bet Kargese landing the County Hurdle. On top of the strong single, we also backed her in a 233/1 winning double with Doddiethegreat, who won the Pertemps Final at odds of 25/1 the previous day!
The week started a little slow for us with Majborough (on at 10/3, went off 1/2) turned over in the Arkle and State Man suffering a cruel last-flight fall in the Champion Hurdle, when he was set to romp home.
Luck evened itself out though and once the racing moved to the New Course for the final two days of the Festival, we made up for last time and ended up with 14 of the 28 winners, along with Inothewayurthinkin in the without the fav Gold Cup market.
We are now looking forward to the start of the New turf season in two weeks time. If you are interested in joining the service, please find the sign-up options at the How To Join page!
ANOTHER +40 pt CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL ON THE CARDS IN 2025?
17th February 2025
How was your 2024 Cheltenham Festival? Are you buzzing for the 2025 Festival, which starts three weeks tomorrow (and runs from Tuesday 11th to Friday 14th March)? I am!
Northern Monkey Punter (NMP) members enjoyed an outstanding 2024 Festival with profit on each of the four days. For the third time in four years members made over +40 pts profit over the course of the week.
We had 16 winners last year (two of which were in w/o fav markets) and made +43.36 pts profit from 82.25 pts staked (the service's staking scale is on a range of 0.25 - 3 pts, with an average stake of ca. 0.75 pt).
The winners:- Slade Steel (5/1)
- Chianti Classico (8/1)
- Telmesomethinggirl (w/o fav) 13/2
- State Man (11/4)
- Ballyburn (4/1)
- Fact To File (5/6)
- Langer Dan (10/1)
- Grey Dawning (5/2)
- Protektorat (9/1)
- Teahupoo (15/8)
- Shakem Up'arry (10/1)
- Majborough (16/1)
- Galopin Des Champs (Evs)
- Absurde (10/1)
- Sine Nomine (16/1)
- Sine Nomine (w/o fav) (6/1)
Our fantastic 2024 Festival haul was far from a one off:
- In 2020 we made +40 pts NMP Festival profit
- In 2021 we made +40 pts NMP Festival profit
- In 2023 we made +20 pts NMP Festival profit
We're regularly backing a dozen winners of the 28 races across the course of the week and there is tremendous potential for multiple chop offs considering we've almost gone through the card on one of the days at past Cheltenham Festivals, twice!
In 2018 Summerville Boy (9/1), Footpad (5/4), Coo Star Sivola (10/1), Benie Des Dieux (9/2), Rathvinden (12/1) and Mister Whitaker (8/1) all won on the same day for six of the seven winners on the Tuesday. The only winner we didn't back was the odds-on Buveur D'air in the Champion Hurdle (4/6).
Three years later, on the Wednesday, we again backed six of the seven winners. Bob Olinger (5/2), Monkfish (7/4), Heaven Help Us (33/1), Put The Kettle On (12/1), Sky Pirate (14/1) and Sir Gerhard (4/1) all did the business. Tiger Roll in the Cross-Country was the only winner that evaded us - we were on the second, Easysland.
Our best day last year was the Friday as Majborough (16/1), Absurde (10/1), Galopin Des Champs (Evs) & Sine Nomine (16/1) all won in the Triumph, County Hurdle, Cheltenham Gold Cup and Hunters' Chase, respectively!
I am currently offering short and long-term membership sign-up options on my website: https://www.northernmonkeypunter.co.uk/page-how_to_join.html.
Both options represent great value. The NMP Cheltenham Festival results in the last five years surely can't be rivalled by many other services operating out there? I'd love to know of any that can better my record!
I work hard every year, and we've been rewarded. I've grafted my nuts off again this year and we are building up an exciting ante post book by the day at the minute - lots of work goes in during the lead-up as we prepare for the big punting marathon!
We back singles and multiples, ante post and on the day, at prices all across the odds spectrum - we've had winners like Sizing John (33/1) in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Indefatigable (Martin Pipe 40/1) and Heaven Help Us (Coral Cup, 33/1), as well as the shorties! If you are interested in joining me for another action-packed year I'd love to welcome you on board this week: https://www.northernmonkeypunter.co.uk/page-how_to_join.html
Cheers
Wayne
