Low Sun lands the Cesarewitch
31st October 2018
One of the big wins for members in 2017 was Withhold landing the Cesarewitch for Roger Charlton and we struck gold in the same race again this year, this time with Willie Mullins' Low Sun. Members were advised;
"One of my angles with Withhold last year was that he was a Champs Elysees and his progeny improve when granted a stamina test. LOW SUN is by the same sire.
I really liked his 2m win at the Curragh on fast ground in June, when he kept on rolling, and he's progressed since, winning a valuable handicap hurdle at Galway over the summer.
He was held up in the rear in his prep race at Bellewstown last time but he's usually ridden closer to the pace. I would like to see a reversion to prominent tactics on the big day on Saturday."
Advised to members at 12/1 and 10/1, Low Sun dug in bravely under Seamie Heffernan to grind out a victory on the near side rail!
